Description:

Venture into the heart of Cozumel Island, beyond the traditional Cedral Village to a new venue demonstrating and celebrating some of the most fascinating traditions from the Island’s Mayan heritage.  This full-package excursion offers guests the chance to experience a Mayan chaman’s blessing ritual, to watch the brutal and beautiful Mayan ball game, as well as other historic art forms and food traditions.

 

After these demonstrations and an interpreted walking tour of a recreated village – with ilight nteractive activities – guests can return to the main gathering area for a buffet lunch featuring several typical dishes from the Yucatan region, as well as soft drinks and/or a full bar to rehydrate and relax, while you watch a series of more modern traditional dances from various Mexican states and regions.

The Buffet Lunch includes dishes typical to the Yucatán Peninsula. Two options of chicken and fruit and salad bar. Unlimited fresh water of Jamaica (regional iced tea made from Jamaica – or Hibiscus – flower), and horchata are included in the price.  Other drinks, including beer and cocktails are also available at the staffed bar, on site.

 

Please note: The Tequila tasting is brief, and part of the tour of the Maya Village area of the park, but is provided by an outside contractor; the hours for tequila tour are subjected to changes without prior notice.

Meeting Point:

Meeting point and time will be designated according to your location. (Please advise in case you are a cruise passenger or guest at a resort). The van or bus is provided according to number of passengers.

Prices & Policies:

  • $85.00 USD per person ($30 deposit required)
  • Reservations should be made at least 48 hours in advance
  • Deposit must be paid via our PayPal to secure any booking
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance will be refunded; deposits for “no-shows” or cancellations within 24 hours of the start time will not be refunded.

 

Cancellations and Refunds:

Please don’t worry if your cruise ship changes schedules and you come into Cozumel on a different date! We will do our best to change the date and plan your tour for the new day.

 

If your cruise ship does not come into port as planned due to mechanical or weather related issues, we will refund any fees paid!  However, if your cruise ship does arrive on the designated date, but your group does not arrive at the designated meeting location in time for the scheduled transport departure time, we will assume you are a “no show.”  In that case, no deposit fees or other fees paid will be refunded.  To prevent this, simply contact Cozumel Tours via email or phone call prior to the start day & time to modify your tour plans, or to cancel your booking more than 24 hours before the planned tour.

 

ALL cancellations need to be received at least 24 hours before your tour day and time, and will be refunded.  (We would appreciate greater notice.)

 

For cancellations received within the 24 hours before your day and time, or any “No-Shows”: Deposits and other paid fees will not be refunded.

Accessibility Info & Important Notes:

Mobility/Accessibility note: This traditional Mayan Cultural Park is a natural reserve in the middle of Cozumel’s jungle. However most of the paths are wheel chair accessible. We have wheel chairs available upon request (min 24 hours request is necessary). Low mobility guests are given priority seats at Maya Ball Game court and also are given the option not to take the walking tour through the Maya Reserve.

 

There are no age restrictions for this tour.
